The AIGI Cyclone 318J is a self-cleaning and cooling single mechanical seal from AIGI's internationally patented Cyclone series, designed for media containing particles. The patented cyclone "ear" geometry works with the angled stationary parts above it to induce a powerful fluid flow that ejects particles back into the pump, keeping the seal-face chamber clean and cool and enabling flushless operation. It is typically used on slurry pumps handling abrasive media such as paper stock, sand, gypsum, sewage and sugar.
