SuperChem 773C Water-Resistant Surface Lubricant

SuperChem 773C is a high-viscosity surface lubricant formulated to cling to equipment and resist water washout. It lays down a tenacious oil film that keeps moving parts lubricated and metal protected from corrosion in wet, humid and washdown environments.

Product Benefits

  • Resists water washout: Ordinary lubricants are simply rinsed off surfaces that see water, steam or condensation, leaving metal to run dry and rust. 773C's high viscosity makes it cling where it is applied.
  • A film that stays put: The lubricating film survives washdowns and weather instead of ending up in the drain.
  • Built-in corrosion protection: By sealing the metal surface under oil, the tenacious film keeps moisture off gears and ropes between lubrication rounds.
  • Longer component life: That protection extends component life in the plant's wettest corners.

Where It's Used

  • Open gears and wire rope: 773C is especially suited to open gears and wire rope.
  • No housing needed: These components work exposed to the elements and cannot rely on a sealed housing to retain their lubricant.
  • Wet-environment equipment: More broadly, it serves bearings, pins, pumps and other equipment operating amid water, steam and condensation.

Good to Know

  • Thick by design: It is a brown, notably thick lubricant; its consistency is the point rather than a drawback, since that is what resists washout.
  • High load capacity: It carries a substantial load without welding the contact surfaces.
  • Safe on copper alloys: It is gentle on copper alloys, so it can be used around bronze and brass components with confidence.
  • Apply to clean surfaces: Cleaned surfaces give the best adhesion; a thin, continuous film protects better than an excess that attracts dust on exposed gears.
