Alfa Laval
T15 Gasketed Plate Heat Exchanger
The Alfa Laval T15 is a gasketed plate heat exchanger from the Industrial line, suited to a very wide range of heating and cooling duties. Its flexible plate pack delivers high energy efficiency and is easy to modify, inspect and clean, making it a practical choice for industrial, hygienic and utility services alike.
Product Benefits
- Efficient and serviceable: The T15 combines high thermal efficiency with serviceability.
- Even flow across the plates: CurveFlow distribution areas and OmegaPort noncircular ports spread flow evenly across the plates.
- Channels tuned to the duty: The FlexFlow plate design lets channels be tuned to the duty, so you get more heat transfer from a compact footprint.
- Built for large frames: Practical touches matter on larger units. Five-point plate alignment keeps the pack true during assembly, and bearing boxes make opening and closing big frames much easier during service.
- Certified installations: Approvals to major pressure vessel codes, including ASME and PED, plus marine class society acceptance, ease deployment in certified installations.
Where It's Used
- Energy and building services: The T15 covers heating and cooling duties in energy and utilities, HVAC and refrigeration.
- Process and hygienic production: It also serves chemicals, food, dairy and beverages, biotech and pharmaceutical production, and home and personal care.
- Heavier industries: Steel, mining, minerals and pigments, pulp and paper, semiconductor and electronics, machinery and manufacturing, marine and transportation, and water and waste treatment are all served.
Good to Know
- Plates for any media: The plate range spans standard stainless steels through high-alloy grades, nickel alloys and titanium.
- Double-wall available: Double-wall plates are available where the two media must never mix.
- Gaskets to suit the fluid: Gaskets come in several elastomer families, including high-temperature options, so sealing can be matched to the fluid and duty.
- Wide design envelope: The frame is epoxy-painted carbon steel, and the design envelope runs from full vacuum to high pressures and from well below freezing to high temperatures.
- Re-ratable later: Because heat-transfer area is set by plate count, the same frame can be re-rated later as your process changes.
