Cam-Tite Bellows Stem Seal
The Cam-Tite bellows stem seal is a top-entry metal ball valve fitted with a hermetic quarter-turn bellows around the stem, engineered for zero-leakage stem sealing in corrosive and severe service. It combines the proven Cam-Tite beveled-ball sealing principle with a bellows barrier for duties where fugitive emissions simply cannot be tolerated.

- Removes the classic leak path: Stem packing is where quarter-turn valves leak first in aggressive media, and the hermetic bellows eliminates that path entirely.
- Still a true quarter turn: The bellows barrier does not compromise genuine quarter-turn operation.
- Jointly engineered: The bellows was developed together by Engineered Valves and Kerotest.
- Serviceable, not disposable: The bellows assembly is integral to the bonnet and removable, so internal components can still be replaced at maintenance rather than scrapping the valve.
- Sealing independent of line pressure: The Cam-Tite beveled ball mechanically energizes both seats, so the valve seals tightly even at the low pressures where pressure-assisted seats perform worst.
Where It's Used
- Corrosive and severe service: It is aimed at chemical and process plant duties where escaping media poses a safety, environmental or product-purity problem.
- Alloys for aggressive chemistry: Availability in carbon steel, stainless steel and high alloys such as Alloy 20 and Hastelloy lets the valve follow aggressive chemistry across the plant.
- Ready for automation: The valve can be readily actuated for automated systems.

- Standard classes and ends: Standard ANSI pressure classes are covered, with flanged ends.
- Built to recognized codes: Design and testing follow recognized ASME and MSS standards.
- Seat and seal materials: Seats and seals come in PTFE, reinforced PTFE, UHMW polyethylene and PEEK grades.
- Firesafe and ceramic options: A firesafe option qualified to the relevant API standard is available, and a ceramic ball can be specified for particularly punishing media.
- Match the seat to the service: As with any bellows-sealed valve, pairing seat material with service temperature and chemistry is the key selection step, because each seat grade carries its own temperature envelope.
