Dia-Flo Chainwheel Operated

The Dia-Flo chainwheel operator lets manually operated Dia-Flo diaphragm valves be worked from grade when they are installed overhead or otherwise out of reach. A standard sprocket rim, guide and chain replace ladder trips and scaffolding for routine valve operation.

Product Benefits

  • Ends the ladder trips: Overhead valves are a daily nuisance and a safety exposure when a ladder is needed to operate them.
  • Operate from grade: The chainwheel converts the valve's handwheel motion into a chain pull at floor level, keeping operators off ladders and platforms.
  • Purely mechanical: It is a simple mechanical solution with no air, no power and nothing to program.

Where It's Used

  • Overhead installations: Typical homes are pipe racks, high headers and ceiling-mounted process and utility lines.
  • Out of comfortable reach: It fits anywhere a Dia-Flo diaphragm valve sits above comfortable reach.
  • Both body styles: It suits weir and straightway bodies across a wide span of valve sizes.

Good to Know

  • Standard proven parts: The operator uses a standard sprocket rim, guide and chain, a well-proven and low-maintenance arrangement.
  • What to confirm when ordering: Specify the valve body style and size along with the chain length needed for the installation height.
  • Still fully manual: Operation stays manual, so the valve itself gains no added complexity.
  • Pressure parts untouched: The operator can be fitted without changing the valve's pressure-containing parts.
