EnviZion Actuated Stainless Steel Bonnet
The EnviZion Actuated Stainless Steel Bonnet is a tool-less pneumatic topworks for EnviZion hygienic diaphragm valves. Its integrated thermal compensation system keeps the diaphragm seal actively loaded through temperature swings, and the tool-less mounting makes diaphragm replacement dramatically faster than with conventional bonnets.
Product Benefits
- The retorquing problem: Steam and cleaning cycles normally loosen diaphragm seating, forcing crews to retorque bonnet bolts to prevent leaks.
- Continuous all-around seal: The thermal compensation system maintains a continuous, all-around seal without any retorquing, removing a recurring maintenance task and a common leak path.
- Tool-less diaphragm changes: Because the bonnet mounts and removes without tools, diaphragm changes take a fraction of the usual time and involve far less opportunity for assembly error.
- Three operating modes: Fail Closed, Fail Open and Double Acting modes let the actuator match the safety logic of the process.
Where It's Used
- Automated hygienic lines: It serves automated hygienic process lines built on EnviZion valves in biopharmaceutical and other clean-service plants.
- SIP and CIP duty: It is especially valuable in steam-in-place and CIP-intensive services, where repeated thermal cycling is hardest on diaphragm seating.
- Short maintenance windows: The tool-less design pays off wherever maintenance windows are short.
Good to Know
- Stainless steel actuator: The actuator is stainless steel with a safety lock-pin as standard, and sealed variants are available.
- Rotating air ports: The smallest size offers full air-port rotation for flexible installation.
- Tri-certified bodies: Matching valve bodies are tri-certified 316L stainless steel per ASME BPE, with special alloys such as C22, C276 and AL6XN and a wide range of hygienic end connections.
- Two-piece diaphragm: The standard diaphragm pairs a modified-PTFE product contact surface with an EPDM backing cushion.
- Polished interiors: Interior surfaces come finely polished, with electropolishing available inside and out.
