Pure-Flo 903 Cast Iron Manual Diaphragm Valve
The Pure-Flo 903 is a manual weir-type diaphragm valve for sanitary service, built around a coated cast iron bonnet to keep cost down. Within the Pure-Flo family it is the economical choice for hygienic applications that do not require autoclaving.

- Mechanism kept out of the process: The diaphragm isolates all working parts from the flow, so there is no packing and no product-wetted mechanism.
- Positive closure on the weir: Shut-off comes from the diaphragm bead pressing onto the weir.
- Diaphragm protected: A rising-stem handwheel with an adjustable travel stop guards the diaphragm against over-compression, while a visual position indicator and O-ring seals round out the bonnet.
- Hygienic on a budget: For sanitary duties where cost matters, it delivers genuine hygienic performance without paying for stainless topworks.
- Washdown-resistant coatings: The available coatings resist alcohol and most semi-caustic washdowns.
Where It's Used
- Pharma and bioprocess lines: It serves pharmaceutical, bioprocessing and fine-chemical plants on sanitary process and utility lines.
- Clean-in-place duty: It is best matched to installations where valves are cleaned in place with milder washdown regimes.
- Not for autoclaving: It is not intended for installations that sterilize valves in an autoclave.
Good to Know
- Hygienic wetted path: The body is 316L stainless with a choice of PTFE or elastomer diaphragms, so the wetted path stays fully hygienic even though the bonnet is coated cast iron.
- Common end styles: Hygienic clamp, tubing and international end styles are offered.
- In-line maintenance: The top-entry design allows servicing with the valve left in line.
- Sealed 903S version: A sealed bonnet version is available where the mechanism needs extra protection from the environment.
