ITT Engineered Valves

Pure-Flo Sterile Access & GMP

Pure-Flo Sterile Access & GMP fabrications pair a main two-way diaphragm valve with a purge or secondary valve in a single hygienic assembly. The combination reduces hold-up volume and improves drainability compared with building the same function from discrete valves and fittings.

Product Benefits

  • Dead legs cost water quality: Point-of-use outlets are where dead legs most often creep into clean water systems, and dead legs are where water quality is lost.
  • Vertical GMP arrangement: The GMP arrangement is oriented vertically to reduce dead legs on point-of-use outlets.
  • Drainable Sterile Access: The Sterile Access arrangement ports the main valve at its low point with a vertical purge for optimum drainability.
  • One engineered fabrication: Because the two valves come as one engineered fabrication, hold-up volume is lower and drainability better than a field-welded equivalent.
  • cGMP compliance: Many of the available combinations comply with cGMP requirements.

Where It's Used

  • WFI point of use: The classic application is the point-of-use outlet on a WFI distribution loop.
  • Sampling and draining: Other duties include WFI sampling, steam-condensate drain and block-and-bleed service.
  • Clean water systems: Biopharmaceutical water systems and similar clean processes are the natural home.

Good to Know

  • Three arrangements: Vertical GMP, Sterile Access with a horizontal main valve and vertical purge, and a fully horizontal Sterile Access variant cover most needs.
  • Matched size range: Main and purge valves are available across a wide matching size range.
  • Forged or wrought 316L: Bodies come in forged or wrought 316L stainless steel, with other materials on request.
  • End connections: Ends include buttweld tubing in common gauges, schedule pipe, DIN/ISO standards and hygienic clamp connections.
