3298 Lined Magnetically Driven Chemical Process Pumps
The Goulds 3298 is an ETFE-lined, magnetically driven sealless chemical process pump. With no mechanical seal at all, it moves corrosive chemicals with zero leakage, eliminating the seals, flush plans and emissions worries that dominate maintenance on conventionally sealed pumps.

- Seals designed out: Mechanical seals are the most common failure point on chemical pumps, and the 3298 simply designs them out: a magnetic coupling drives the impeller through a sealed containment boundary, so there is no shaft penetration to leak.
- Tough ETFE lining: The tough ETFE fluoropolymer lining is permanently bonded to a ductile iron substrate, combining broad corrosion resistance with structural strength.
- Compact close-coupled build: The close-coupled arrangement needs no field alignment and fits in confined spaces, and the pump has few parts, which keeps maintenance simple.
- Optional protection: Optional DryGuard bearings, power monitoring and leak detection add layers of protection for critical or unattended services.

- Aggressive bleach chemicals: Typical services are aggressive treatment and bleaching chemicals: chlorine dioxide, sodium hypochlorite, hydrogen peroxide and sodium hydroxide.
- Sealless pays off: These are exactly the fluids where a leak is both a safety hazard and a housekeeping problem, so sealless construction earns its keep.

- Mind dry running: Like all magnetic-drive pumps, the 3298 rewards attention to dry-running and process upsets, which is why the optional DryGuard bearings and power monitoring are worth considering at the selection stage.

- Family platform: The 3298 is the foundation of a small family: the V 3298 is the vertical in-line version and the SP 3298 the self-priming version, sharing most parts. That lets a mill standardize on one hydraulic platform across different installation needs.
