ITT Goulds Pumps
3355 Multi-Stage Pumps
The Goulds 3355 is a modular multistage process pump for a wide range of high-pressure services such as boiler feed and reverse osmosis. Its diffuser-type hydraulics are internally balanced, so there is no balance drum and no external balance lines to maintain, making it a genuinely simpler high-pressure pump.
Product Benefits
- Internal balancing: Internal balancing removes the balance drum and external balance piping that many multistage pumps depend on, eliminating a whole category of wear parts and leak points.
- Modular stage construction: The modular, fully interchangeable stage construction means the pump can be configured closely to the required pressure and adapted later if the duty changes.
- Low inlet requirements: A first-stage suction impeller with a large eye area keeps inlet requirements low, helping the pump run reliably even where available suction head is limited.
- Optional inducer: An optional inducer on the end-suction version extends suction performance further.
Where It's Used
- Boiler and condensate duties: Typical services are boiler feed, condensate return, and deaerator service.
- Spray and seal water: It also covers shower and spray duty and seal-water boosting.
- Pressure boosting: Reverse osmosis and general pressure boosting round out its everyday high-pressure water duties in power houses and process plants, including pulp and paper mills.
Good to Know
- Flexible configurations: The pump comes in radial-suction and end-suction configurations, and the radial nozzles can be rotated in quarter-turn increments to suit the piping layout.
- Scalable pressure: It is built across a range of stage counts, so pressure capability scales with the application.
- Durable materials: The standard shaft is a chrome steel grade suited to high-pressure water service, and optional case wear rings are available for added renewability.
- Easy installation: Raised-face flanges and a standards-compliant coupling guard round out a conventional, easy-to-install package.
