ITT Goulds Pumps
3610 API 610 (BB1)
The Goulds Model 3610 is an axially split, one- and two-stage, between-bearings process pump built to API 610 / ISO 13709 as a type BB1 machine. Pairing a dual-volute casing with a double-suction impeller, it moves very large flows reliably even where suction conditions are limited.
Product Benefits
- Low NPSH by design: The precision-cast double-suction impeller draws liquid from both sides, keeping NPSH requirements low and the rotor hydraulically balanced.
- Even radial loads: The dual-volute casing evens out radial loads across the operating range.
- Clean lubrication: Self-contained oil-lubricated bearings incorporate a patented oil filtration feature that keeps the lubricant clean in service, extending bearing life.
- Faster overhauls: The horizontally split casing gives full access to the rotor without disturbing suction or discharge piping, which shortens overhauls considerably on large machines.
Where It's Used
- Refining and chemical processing: The 3610 is applied in petroleum refining, petrochemical and chemical processing, and high-temperature services.
- Mill boiler duties: In pulp and paper mills it is suited to boiler circulation, boiler feed, and other high-temperature process duties.
- Reliability margins: A between-bearings API pump brings welcome reliability margins to these demanding services.
Good to Know
- Fine-grade balancing: Impellers are balanced to a fine ISO grade.
- API 682 seal chambers: Seal chambers conform to API 610 dimensions for use with API 682 cartridge mechanical seals.
- Bearing options: Bearings can be specified from standard anti-friction up to fully hydrodynamic arrangements as the duty demands.
- Nozzle and flange choices: Side-side nozzle orientation is standard, with raised-face or ring-joint flange facings available to suit site piping specifications.
