ITT Goulds Pumps
3910 API 610 (OH3) Vertical In-Line Process Pumps
The Goulds Model 3910 is an API 610 / ISO 13709 type OH3 overhung, vertical in-line process pump with its own dedicated bearing frame. Mounted directly in the pipeline and supported at its centerline, it delivers refinery-grade reliability for hot, high-pressure services while occupying a fraction of the floor space a horizontal pump needs.
Product Benefits
- Low installation cost: The in-line configuration needs no large baseplate, no grouting, and minimal footprint, yet the dedicated bearing frame gives it the rotor support of a true process pump.
- Stable hot alignment: Centerline support keeps alignment stable as temperatures rise.
- Maintenance without repiping: The back-pull-out design with the FRAMEHOOK feature allows maintenance without removing the casing from the piping.
- Shared spares with 3700: Power ends and impellers interchange fully with the Goulds Model 3700 horizontal pump, streamlining spares across a mixed installed base.
Where It's Used
- Space-constrained services: The 3910 is built for high-temperature, high-pressure oil and gas and process services where space is at a premium.
- Pulp and paper duties: In mills it serves digester recirculation, condensate, and scrubber circulation duties.
- Congested piping runs: The vertical in-line arrangement slots neatly into congested piping.
Good to Know
- Corrosion-matched materials: Constructions span carbon steel, chrome steel, austenitic stainless, and duplex and super-duplex stainless grades to match corrosive services.
- Balanced enclosed impeller: The enclosed impeller is dynamically balanced to a fine grade per API 610.
- Low-flow variant: A variant with a semi-open Barske-type impeller covers small-capacity, high-head duties.
- Bearings and seals: Duplex angular-contact thrust and Conrad radial bearings run on grease as standard with oil mist optional, protected by labyrinth seals, and API 682 cartridge mechanical seals are used throughout.
