E3198 i-FRAME ETFE Lined Process Pumps
The Goulds E3198 i-FRAME is an ETFE-lined ANSI process pump for severely corrosive chemical services. By bonding a tough fluoropolymer lining to a ductile iron casing and pairing it with a fully open PFA impeller, it delivers the corrosion resistance of exotic alloys at a considerably lower cost.

- Severe corrosive duties: The E3198 was developed for the full range of severe corrosive duties in chemical processing, and in pulp and paper mills it earns its keep in the bleach plant.
- Bleach-plant chemistries: Typical services include chlorine dioxide, sodium hypochlorite and chlorinated brine, oxidizing chemistries that quickly punish uncoated metal pumps.
- Proven lined route: Fluindo supplies this pump for the pulp and paper industry, where lined construction is a proven route to reliable bleach-chemical transfer.
Good to Know
- Fluoropolymer wet end: The casing is rotolined with a substantial, uniform ETFE layer, and the fully open impeller is molded in PFA. Both fluoropolymers are chosen for broad chemical resistance.
- Moderate temperatures: Lined pumps suit moderate temperatures; for hotter corrosive duties the PFA-lined Goulds 3299 is the step up.
- Flexible seal options: Sealing options include backplate, stuffing box or BigBore seal chamber, with single inside, single outside, double or cartridge mechanical seals.
- Standard safety guard: An ANSI B15.1 coupling guard is part of the standard safety package.
