ITT Goulds Pumps
ICB Close-Coupled Chemical Process Pumps
The Goulds ICB is a compact, close-coupled chemical process pump for liquids ranging from water to mild corrosives. By mounting directly to a standard IEC motor it does away with the coupling and baseplate entirely, saving money and floor space without giving up ISO-standard hydraulics.
Product Benefits
- Lower cost, smaller footprint: Eliminating the coupling and baseplate cuts capital cost and shrinks the installed footprint, and it also removes coupling alignment from the maintenance workload.
- Standard IEC motors: The motor lantern and one-piece duplex stainless steel stub shaft bolt straight onto standard IEC (B5) motors, so drivers are easy to source and swap.
- Process-grade construction: Despite the compact format, the pump keeps a foot-supported heavy-duty cast casing with a generous corrosion allowance and an enclosed precision-cast impeller.
- Longer seal life: The patented Cyclone seal chamber improves the environment around the seal for longer seal life.
Where It's Used
- Transfer and circulation: The ICB suits everyday transfer and circulation duties on water and mildly corrosive process liquids.
- Tight spaces, tight budgets: It shines where space is limited or installation cost is a concern.
- Pulp and paper auxiliaries: Within Fluindo's range it serves the pulp and paper industry, covering the many auxiliary liquid-handling jobs around a mill.
Good to Know
- ISO and DIN hydraulics: Hydraulic components comply with ISO 2858 and DIN 24256, so performance is standardized and predictable.
- Standard DIN seals: The pump accepts standard DIN-series mechanical seals.
- Material options: Casing materials include ductile iron, stainless steel, and duplex stainless steel, with a duplex stainless stub shaft as standard.
- Moderate temperatures: Because it is close-coupled, the pump is best matched to moderate temperature services; for hotter or higher-pressure duties, frame-mounted siblings in the same ISO family are the natural step up.
