VIC Vertical Industrial Can-Type Pumps
The VIC from ITT Goulds Pumps is a vertical industrial can-type turbine pump built on the same flanged bowl assembly as the VIT and VIS lines. By enclosing the bowl assembly in a suction can below floor level, it delivers reliable performance even where the available NPSH is very low.
Product Benefits
- Low NPSH capability: Low NPSH is the classic reason to choose a can pump: the can places the first impeller below grade, so the VIC operates efficiently at whatever NPSH the site can offer, without resorting to oversized suction vessels.
- Simple piping: In-line suction and discharge simplify piping and installation, and an optional suction connection in the can adds flexibility for site piping.
- Shared bowl assembly: Sharing a common bowl assembly with the VIT lineshaft and VIS submersible pumps means hydraulic options are broad and spares are commonized across the family.

- Robust construction: Construction is a fabricated discharge head with flanged column and flanged bowls; impellers are semi-open or enclosed and keyed to stainless shafting.
- Extreme-temperature variants: For extreme temperatures the family extends into custom-engineered VS6 variants, the cryogenic VICC and the high-temperature VICH, designed following API 610 guidelines and certifiable to ATEX IIC.
- Wide standard envelope: The standard pump already covers a wide envelope of flows, heads and temperatures, so most industrial duties fall within reach of a catalog selection.
